Court in Islamabad acquits Imran Khan, others in Azadi March cases

Qureshi, Sheikh Rashid, Sheheryar Afridi also cleared

Pronouncing a reserved verdict, a court in Islamabad on Wednesday acquitted former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Ali Nawaz Awan and others in cases registered against them at I-9 police station of the federal capital in connection with PTI’s Azadi March, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Judicial Magistrate Malik Muhammad Imran read out the verdict.

Cases had been registered against the PTI leaders and others in 2022 under sections related to vandalism and section 144.

Sheheryar Afridi, others also acquitted

The district and sessions court in Islamabad has also acquitted PTI leader Sheheryar Khan Afridi and others in a May 9 vandalism case registered at I-9 Police Station.
