Two ‘criminals’ killed in police shoot-out in Karachi

Two alleged outlaws were killed following an encounter with the police near Phase-7 of the Defence Housing Authority (DHA), Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The dead were identified as Zulfiqar alias Zulfi and Pyaro Solangi alias Sher Ali.

Police said they had raided a hideout after they were alerted about the presence of a gang of criminals.

SSP Sajid Sadozai said that the gang was wanted by the police in connection with different offences for quite some time.  

‘Dacoit’ arrested in Korangi

In yet another police encounter reported from Korangi area of the city, an alleged dacoit was arrested in an injured condition, while his two accomplices managed to flee from the spot.   

Police said they had recovered weapons and cellphones from the possession of the dacoit named Afaq and shifted him to a hospital for the treatment of his injuries.
