Two hand grenades, detonator recovered from scrap warehouse in Lahore

A detonator and two more hand grenades were recovered during a search of a scrap warehouse in Lahore on Saturday, a day after a grenade explosion killed a labourer in the warehouse located in Misri Shah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to police sources, a truck leaving the warehouse was stopped and searched from which two hand grenades were recovered.
The police sources said that hand grenades and detonators found in a scrap warehouse were defused and the police detained two people.
The matter was being investigated from various aspects, the police sources added.
It may be mentioned here that a labourer was killed yesterday due to a hand grenade explosion in Misri Shah.
A warehouse worker was checking a hand grenade who probably did not know it was a grenade at all. Unknowingly, the worker opened the pin of the hand grenade and as soon as the pin was out there was a loud explosion in the warehouse.
Labourer Khalil Ahmed's body was badly damaged in the explosion and he died on the spot.
