A secret passport, allegedly belonging to Farah Gogi, friend of wife of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan, has surfaced, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Quoting investigators, sources told 24News that son of a property tycoon arranged passport of an unknown country, Vanuatu, for her so that she could hide her ill-gotten wealth and could also use it for money laundering.
He allegedly paid $130,000 to a businessman for that, sources informed.
Elaborating further, they said that the passport was arranged for Bushra Bibi’s friend in December 2021 in view of the possible success of a no-confidence motion against the former prime minister. They added that Farah allegedly travelled to different countries on that passport.
And it was on April 3, 2022, six days before Imran was removed from the PM office through a no-trust motion that she was made to flee to Dubai on a Pakistani passport. However, from Dubai onwards, she travelled on the secret passport so that authorities in Pakistan remained in dark about her movements.
It is worth-mentioning here that only two days ago it had come to light that Farah owned illegal assets of over Rs14 billion, and that during the three-year period of PTI government, Farah’s declared as well as non-declared assets increased by Rs4520 million.
