In a move to facilitate citizens, the Passport Department has removed the condition of ID card address verification for passport applications.
Under the new policy, announced by Director General Mustafa Jamal Qazi, Pakistani citizens can now apply for a passport from any city, irrespective of their ID card address.
The amendment letter has been sent to regional passport offices across the country, and applicants will no longer face restrictions based on jurisdiction or address.
This change was introduced to alleviate difficulties faced by citizens, making it easier to obtain passports from any location in Pakistan.
