After rumors spread on social media that popular Pakistani singer Atif Aslam was opposed to singing in Saudi Arabia because of its proximity to religious sites, the singer is setting the record straight.
Almost all portals, websites, and Instagram pages have shared the news, claiming that Atif Aslam reportedly stated he would not perform in Saudi Arabia because his heart cannot accept singing near the holy places.

In a statement to journalist Maliha Rehman, Atif clarified that he had performed in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, in the past in 2019 which was “the best way of proving our opinion on the topic”.
