Pakistan’s economy got benefit of $20b from GSP Plus: Ch Sarwar

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Wednesday said that the GSP Plus status has benefited Pakistan's economy with 20 billion dollars, reported 24News HD TV channel.
Chaudhary Sarwar is visiting Europe to get an extension of GSP Plus status. During his visit is holding meetings with the European parliamentarians.
He called on Member European Parliament Defense and Security for Foreign Affairs. A detailed discussion was held on women's rights and the rights of minorities during the meeting.
Chaudhry Sarwar also met members of the European Parliament, French Member of Parliament. European members appreciated Pakistan's role in the Afghan peace process.
Addressing a dinner in Belgium, the Punjab Governor said that Pakistan was playing its role for peace in the region and the world. He lamented that the world had turned a blind eye to the Kashmir issue.
Governor Punjab also called on European Parliament Vice President Heidi Hautala and former MP David Martin. The issue of GSP Plus was discussed on the occasion while Governor Punjab apprised of the Pakistani position.
Talking to media in Brussels, Punjab Governor said that European Parliamentarians have expressed interest in the situation in Afghanistan in their meetings. He said that European Parliamentarians have agreed that humanitarian aid for Afghanistan should be unconditional. The governor said that Pakistan had no concern with the conventions of the European Union.
