Three terrorists killed, five fled in Pakpattan shootout

Three wanted terrorists were killed and five others fled during a shootout with a team of Bahawalpur Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Pakpattan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

A CTD spokesman said on Wednesday that the Department had arrested terrorist Umar Daraz in connection with Muharram 10 bombings and acting on the information extracted from him the CTF personnel carried out a raid in Pakpattan to recover explosives.

The spokesman said the raid was carried out in Mozay Kalay Pathan during which other terrorists attacked the CTD team.

In the ensuing gunbattle, terrorist Umar Daraz and his two companions were killed while five others were escaped from the scene.

An operation was promptly initiated to arrest the fleeing terrorists, the CTD spokesman added.
