Lion cub dies of diarrhea in Bahawalpur zoo

A sick little lioness cub Rita has died in Bahawalpur Zoo, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to report, despite the efforts of the administration, little cub Rita died of illness.

Deputy Director Wildlife Ali Usman Bukhari confirmed the death of Rita.

An African lioness gave birth to Rita a few weeks ago in Sher Bagh, area of zoo.

The healthy born tigress had become emaciated due to illness.

Administration was hand feeding the sick cub of the lioness and the cub was separated due to the brutal behavior of the lioness, Ali Usman said
