Four people were killed while 14 others were injured after a passenger coach, heading from Lahore to Peshawar, fell into a ravine in Nowshera near Rashakai interchange on M-1, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Soon after learning about the incident, motorway police reached the site and shifted the injured to Mardan Medical Complex where two succumbed to their injuries.

As per initial reports, the accident took place after one of the front tyres of the coach burst.   

Police took driver of the coach into custody and started investigation.
