Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) has decided not to participate in voting on proposed amendments related to the judiciary in the Senate, as announced by the party's parliamentary leader, Senator Maulana Attaur Rehman, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.

In a letter to party senators, Maulana Attaur Rehman stated that discussions on constitutional amendments are currently underway in parliament, with the likely focus on judiciary reforms.

However, since the details of the amendments have not been made public, the party has opted not to cast votes without formal written permission.

The decision will be considered in light of Article 63-A of the Constitution, ensuring party discipline is maintained in such matters.
