Second round of talks for interim Sindh CM remain ‘inconclusive’

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly Rana Ansar held the second round of consultations on Sunday to reach a consensus on the nomination of a caretaker chief minister for the province, reported the 24NerwsHD TV channel.
The meeting took place at the Sindh CM House wherein two leaders agreed to meet again tomorrow to discuss the matter. However, no names were shared by either side for the interim CM.
Talking to the media outside the Chief Minister House, Rana Ansar said no names were shared by either side for the caretaker chief minister. However, more than one dozen names are circulating in the market for the caretaker chief minister,” she added.
“I will share our names tomorrow after the consultation with the leadership of her party. Our names include leaders of Grand Democratic Alliance and other allied parties,” she said.
The opposition leader added that She expressed the hope that the interim CM would be appointed tomorrow through a consensus.
PPP leader Nasir Hussain giving detail of the meeting said the opposition leader met the Chief Minister and both would meet again tomorrow evening.
“The process of consultation for the caretaker chief minister is going on and an effort will be made to agree on a name, otherwise the names would be sent to the parliamentary committee,” he remarked.
He claimed that his leadership has not given any name yet and all the names that are circulating in the market are from the media.
He expressed hope that both would reach a conclusion tomorrow.
Talking about the caretaker prime minister, he said Senator Kakar is a man of good character.
