Pakistan, Iran to open second border crossing next week

Pakistan and Iran have decided to open the Gabd-Rimdan border crossing between the two countries next week.
Officials of both countries will reach the border crossing to attend the opening ceremony on December 19.
Assistant Minister for West Asia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Rasoul Mousavi had a meeting with Pakistani ambassador Rahim Hayat in Tehran recently. The two sides discusses issues relating to the border crossing opening in detail at the meeting.
Mousavi said the decision to open the border crossing was taken during his meeting with Rahim Hayat.
Gabd-Rimdan will be the second border crossing to open between Pakistan and Iran. For now, Pakistan and Iran are using just the Mirjaveh–Taftan border crossing on a 909 kilometres long border between the two countries.
