Dacoit shot dead by ‘accomplices’ in Narowal encounter

A dacoit was shot dead by his accomplices during a shootout with police in Bada Cheeda village of Qila Ahmedabad, Narowal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to police, the dacoits were looting people on Zafarwal Road when the police went after them and surrounded them near Qila Ahmedabad.
A shootout occurred between police and the dacoits during which one of the dacoits was killed in firing by his own accomplices.
The police took into possession the sophisticated weapons and hundreds of rounds which the accomplices had left behind before fleeing away.
The body of the deceased dacoit was shifted to Narowal District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital. His identity could not be ascertained.
The police said that they were the same dacoits who had carried out a dacoity at Adda Siraj the other day.
The police added that the dacoits had carried out dozens of robberies across the district during the past two days.
