NAB issues alert for general public about fraud, forgery

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday issued an alert to general public advising them to beware of on-going fraud, forgery attempts and Ponzi schemes, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The NAB also provided guidance to general public in this regard.

The NAB in its alert advised people not to purchase or sell plot files of unregistered housing societies.

In case of ATM blockage, do not provide any information to anyone or any irrelevant person without their authentic identification.

Promise of unrealistic profit on investment in foreign currency is also another form of fraud. The NAB asked general public to also avoid online trading fraud of cryptocurrency.

The NAB further advised people not to operate any apps regarding illegal deposits and private loans, multi-level marketing, online lottery, Ponzi and other fraud schemes.

The NAB advised people not to trust fake BISP messages, online foreign currency trading, online employment, visa fraud, fake insurance coverage, financial embezzlement and fraud.

The NAB asked people to keep secret their personal bank account information and not share their passwords or pin codes with anyone.

The NAB said that people must avoid availing attractive and unrealistic financial profits.

The NAB advised people to obtain all necessary information and read all terms and conditions before making any financial dealing with anyone to avoid becoming a victim of fraud.
