The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), apex tax collection body, has given a one-day deadline to internationally acclaimed singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan to submit details of accounts in the ongoing probe against him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reportedly, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan did not satisfy the FBR with the document submitted, the TV channel reported.
It is pertinent to note that the FBR in its notice sent in December requested the aid of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in order to assess Khan's money trail as the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001. FBR tasked FIA to Khan generated know how much income from concerts abroad.
Interestingly, back in 2017, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's bank accounts were also seized over evasion of tax.
