OGRA recommends Rs11.95 increase in POL prices

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent a summary to the Petroleum Division to increase petroleum prices up to Rs11.95 per liter increase in the POL prices, the TV channel reported.

The TV channel reported quoting its sources that said that the PM would give final approval in POL prices increase.

Ogra recommended an increase of Rs 11.95 per litre in the rates of petrol and Rs 9.57 in the price of diesel, the TV channel reported.

Reportedly, the Ministry of Finance would announce the decision after consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan. The price increase was recommended to Petroleum division keeping in view the rate of per litre levy that is Rs30.

It is pertinent to note that the government last month increased the petrol price by Rs 2. 31 per litre.
