A thick fog once again encamped Lahore city and suburb area on Friday evening. Authorities closed the motorway M-3 from Lahore Faizpur Exchange to Darkhana for all traffic.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, due to thick fog in Lahore, mercury was dropped to a low degrees Celsius and the weather became chilled at night.

On the other hand, Meteorological Department has forecasted snowfall on hilly areas next week while light to moderate rains spell will enter the western and upper parts of the country on Tuesday night.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the new rain spell will continue in the upper areas till Thursday.

As per the report, heavy snowfall is expected in Quetta, Ziarat Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Kohlu and Barkhan from Tuesday (today) night to Thursday morning.

The Meteorological Department said that rains would be beneficial for wheat crops while the recent heavy fog is expected to reduce fog.
