DSP, two gunmen martyred as TTP terrorists hit Peshawar police station

Terrorists belonging to banned TTP stormed Sarband police station in Peshawar martyring three policemen including a senior police officer, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to SSP Operations Kashif Aftab Abbasi, some terrorists attacked Sarband police station last night with hand grenades, sniper rifles and automatic weapons. They launched their attack from different angles.
The attackers targeted DSP Sardar Hussain and his gunmen when they reached the police station last night. The DSP was martyred and two other policemen were seriously hurt. However, these two police officials succumbed to their wounds in the hospital later.
The terrorists used night vision guns to hit them.
The police said that the attackers then opened fire at police station with sniper guns. They tried to target the sentry posts and the law personnel.
A large contingent of police reached the venue after the attack.
The police fought bravely with the terrorists and made them repulsed.
The police are combing the area in search of the terrorists.
The funeral prayers of the martyred police officials will be offered at Police Lines.
Outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attacks on Peshawar police station and on security forces’ checkpost in Janghi area in Tehsil Taunsa Sharif of Dera Ghazi Khan.
