The catering industry in Karachi on Sunday placed over 50 daigs (cauldrons) on the road to register their protest against the business restrictions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The catering industry association office-bearers warned that the government restrictions in view of the coronavirus pandemic could shut down their businesses forever.

The catering industry and marriage halls association took to the roads to register their protest arguing they were unable to pay their rents for the last three months.

“Our halls are closed for the last three months since the imposition of the lockdown. We appeal the government to allow us to open the marriage halls as per the SOPs,” one of the protesters told 24NewsHD TV channel.
