National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has urged the opposition parties and government parliamentarians to observe the proposed code of conduct and not to create ruckus during the assembly proceedings, reported 24News HD TV channel on Monday.

The opposition parties in the National Assembly met with Speaker Asad Qaisar. According to the inside story revealed by 24News HD, NA Speaker Asad Qaisar urged the opposition parties for cooperation and not to create ruckus in the house. According to the proposed code of conduct, all parliamentarians are bound to observe the code. The code says the members are allowed to use vulgar language in the house. Sources said that the speaker would take action on violating the code of conduct. They said no member was allowed to film the proceedings of the house and to protest or chant slogans while standing on the bench.

The sources said that Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and PPP leader Shazia Marri exchanged harsh words during the meeting. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that if the opposition parties created ruckus in the presentation of the prime minister, they would do the same in the presence of the opposition leader.

PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah said that respecting all the party leaders was necessary for everyone. Shahida Akhtar Ali said that they should respect all the parliamentarians. She said that creating disturbance should not be allowed during the speech of any member.

The speaker asked the parliamentarians to consult with their respective party leadership. The opposition and government member parliaments asked for the time for consultation.
