Snowfall, rain in upper parts turn weather pleasant

A westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country while snowfall was recorded in upper parts and the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy snowfall in some upcountry places, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
During the last 24 hours, the weather remained dry in most parts of the country, however, rain (mm) recorded in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Dir (Upper 18, Lower 05), Kalam 13, Chitral, Parachinar 10, Mirkhani 09, Malam Jabba 08, Drosh 05, Peshawar 04, Saidu Sharif 03, Bannu 02, Pattan 01, Balochistan: Quetta (City 08, Samangali 07).
Saturday’s lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Kalam -01 and Gupis 00.
The TV channel quoting the Met Office reported that light showers with cloudy weather occurred in Islamabad and many areas were gripped with cold. The Meteorological Department forecasted more rains in many areas including Islamabad with strong winds and thundershowers.
In many cities of Punjab weather became pleasant with light showers as the Met Office predicted more rains.
The Meteorological Department forecasted that Gujrat is likely to receive thundershowers wile Sargodha, Faisalabad and Lahore are likely to receive showers with strong winds and thundershowers.
In Kashmir, apart from cloudy weather, thundershowers and snowfall are expected on the mountains.
The Met office predicted dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while, partly cloudy weather condition with rain is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan on Monday.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rain with strong winds and thundershowers is expected in Batgram, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur and Kohistan.
