Former PTI MNA from Chakwal Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Dullah on Monday announced quitting the party, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

He said that unfortunately there had been no change in the PTI’s stance towards the state institutions, and it was still pursuing the policy of confrontation with them. “For a long time after the May 9 incidents of violence we kept waiting for the PTI to change its policy towards the establishment,” he said, adding, “Unfortunately that did not happen.”

Dullah made it clear that he always believed in public service, and that he was dissociating himself from the party after consultations with his friends and supporters.

Dullah remained the PTI MNA from Chakwal from 2018 to 2023.

So far hundreds of PTI leaders from different parts of the country have left the party in the wake of incidents of violence of May 9.
