Dacoit police officer arrested in Okara

A police sub-inspector, involved in robberies, was arrested from Pakpattan by the Okara police on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sub-inspector Ijaz Riaz along with his accomplices had committed robbery at Okara Bypass while he was posted at city police station Pakpattan.

Sources said that Okara police had arrested a robber who revealed the sub-inspector's involvement in robberies during interrogation.

According to police, an investigation is underway and further revelations from accused sub-inspector are expected.
