Pakistan officially contacted India to bring back the 41 stranded Pakistanis, saying it wanted to ensure their return via Wagah border on April 15 (Thursday).

According to 24NewsHD TV channel which quoted sources, these Pakistanis had stuck in India after New Delhi imposed lockdown in the country.

They are currently in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and various areas of Indian Punjab.

On the other hand, the sources said 108 Indian nationals have been affected by the lockdown in Pakistan.

It is said that the stranded Pakistanis would be allowed to cross the border after screening through the land border crossing.

Later, Special Assistant to PM on National Security Division and Strategic Policy Planning Moeed Yusuf confirmed that 41 Pakistanis stranded in India will be brought back to the country on Thursday.

Moeed Yusuf was addressing a press conference in Islamabad. He said the Pakistani nationals in India are being brought back in the country after the efforts made by Foreign Ministry.
