The premier is visiting the province just after a day when PTI led federal government, all four provinces, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir governments evolved consensus on extending countrywide lockdown till April 30 with certain exceptions and SOPs.
SAPM on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan addressing a press conference on Wednesday said that the prime minister took the countrywide lockdown decision to maintain the national harmony.
Criticizing the PPP-led Sindh government, Firdous said, “Except Sindh, all provinces endorsed PM’s decisions. The PM left the lockdown decision solely on provinces as per the 18th constitutional amendment.”
She said Sindh government has disappointed the people by imposing an early lockdown and one of the tweets of a Sindh government Spokesperson was an ‘attempt to divide’ the consensus. “For God sake, it is the matter of life, do not talk about deaths. Today it is determined that coronavirus has spread most in Sindh,” she added.
