Lahore Civil Court Judge Fahim-ul-Hasan Thursday restrained the Punjab government from proceeding with the cancellation of the alleged transfer of Raiwind land belonging to the family of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and former chief minister Shahbaz, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif family had approached the Lahore civil court over the Punjab government's move about the cancellation of the transfer of 127kanal land.

The court has now summoned all parties with the record on April 27.

The petition maintained that the Punjab government is changing the ownership status of more than 1500kanals of land in Jati Umrah illegally and 127 land records belonging to the Sharif family are being changed.

“The Sharif family's position is that the court should restrain the Punjab government from this process and issue an interim order,” the lawyer of the Sharif family said.

The Sharif family through their lawyer Hamid Iftikhar filed a petition with the name of Yousaf Abbas and maintained that the Punjab government forged land documents and cancelled 127kanals land in Raiwind.
