Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill has refused to go with the Islamabad administration team for the medical examination on Monday. The PTI leader is detained in the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the negotiation between Adiala Jail officials and the Islamabad administration for handing over the detainee Shahbaz Gill for medical examination.
The sources said the detainee Shahbaz Gill refused to go for medical examination with the Islamabad administration and police after which the Islamabad administration team and police party left back.
The sources said that the Adiala Jail administration has confirmed that Shahbaz Gill is not being transferred to Islamabad.
On the other hand, the PTI leaders urged Punjab Prison Inspector General (IG) Saleem Baig to shift Shahbaz Gill to their recommended hospital.
The sources said that the PTI leaders including Fawad Chaudhry, Hammad Azhar and Hafiz Hayyat summoned the IG Prison in Punjab and tried to force him to shift Shahbaz Gill to the hospital.
On this, IG Prisons Saleem Baig told the PTI leadership that Shahbaz Gill was an accused of the federal government so he couldn’t interfere in the matter and accept any illegal order from them.
The sources said, PTI leaders became aggressive and advised to obey their orders but IG Prisons refused and said they should talk to Punjab Chief Minister in this regard.
