Rs13 per litre cut in petrol price proposed

After the slump in crude oil prices in the international market, the authorities in Pakistan proposed to reduce the petrol price by Rs13 per litre, high speed diesel by Rs13.50, kerosene Rs8 and light speed diesel is also proposed to be decreased by Rs10 per litre, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
According to industry sources, crude oil prices have fallen by 5.68 percent in 15 days. The price of crude oil has fallen from $74 to $69.86 per barrel.
It is proposed to decrease the price of jet fuel by Rs8 while price of furnace oil is proposed to be decreased by Rs9,400 per ton, industry sources said.
However, the Prime Minister will decide to change the prices of petroleum products which are due to b announced on Friday.
“If there is a decrease in petroleum products, the rate of inflation will also come down,” experts said.
