Zardari says price of sugarcane will be Rs400 per maund next year

Former President Asif Ali Zardari Wednesday said next year, the price of sugarcane will be fixed at Rs400 per maund.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) President Asif Ali Zardari said a fair price for sugarcane will make the country self-sufficient in sugar production.
He said the time has come to redress the injustices done to the farmers as by doing justice to the Kisan and the farmers, the prosperity of the country will be developed.
Zardari said in a statement issued here on Wednesday that if the farmer is prosperous, he will pay attention to the harvest and the country's food basket will be filled with national crops.
