Model Qandeel Baloch awaits justice on her seventh death anniversary

Today is the seventh death anniversary of model Qandeel Baloch, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Qindeel had been strangulated to death at her home in Muzaffarabad area of Multan on July 15, 2016.
Later, the police arrested all six suspects who had been nominated in her murder case, while on September 27, 2019, a Model Court in Multan awarded life imprisonment to main suspect in the case, Qandeel’s brother Waseem, and acquitted all others giving them benefit of the doubt.

Following that, Waseem challenged the sessions court decision in the Lahore High Court (LHC) which declared the former’s decision null and void.
Later, the LHC’s Prosecution Office filed an appeal in the Supreme Court (SC) which is yet to take up the case for hearing.

Mufti Abdul Qavi, whose name also surfaced whenever there was a mention of the case, had later said that he had nothing to do with the model’s murder, and that he had been implicated in a false case.
