CM appreciate flour mills association’s decision to call off strike

The Punjab Flour Mills Association (PFMA) Sunday called off its strike after govt officials, on behalf of CM Maryam Nawaz, assured the association that their grievances would be addressed soon, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The chief minister welcomed the announcement of the floor mills association for calling off the strike. The CM said, “The floor mills association will not hold any strike against the imposition of withholding tax in Punjab.”
On the direction of CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the leadership of the floor mills association was convinced during dialogues to call off their strike.
The chief minister thanked the chairman and other leadership of the association for adopting a unanimous decision not to hold any strike in Punjab.
CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed her apprehension regarding the likelihood of the occurrence of flour shortage along with bread becoming expensive for the people as a result of the strike.
The CM said the poor people would incur a major financial loss in the shape of a wheat and flour price hike.
She assured me that she would play a vigorous and proactive role in resolving reservations and issues of the Floor Mills association. She added there is no need to hold any protest for the resolution of due problems.
