Earlier Chairman Ruet E Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman sharing the Eid-ul Fitr announcement last month said Fawad Ch had no standing when it comes to moon sighting and Federal Science Minister should refrain himself from giving such statements, as it is purely the duty of Ruet E Hilal Committee.
However, Fawad Ch and his scientific calendar has been vindicated as Eid-ul-Fitr had been celebrated as per his scientific prediction against all odds and Pakistanis celebrated the auspicious event along with Saudi Arabia and other majority of Muslim countries on the same day.
