Bid to smuggle heavy quantity of heroin to UK foiled

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) personnel on Wednesday foiled an attempt to smuggle heroin abroad which was secretly hidden inside 23 waistcoats booked for the UK from Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The ANF team raided a courier service office in Aabpara Market in Islamabad and foiled the attempt to smuggle one kg and 300 grams (1.3kg) of heroin to the UK.
The drug was hidden inside the packing of the waistcoats.
The parcel was booked by Nadeem Mustafa, a resident of Hafizabad, for a person in the UK namely Tanveer Nawaz.
An ANF spokesperson said that the Force has seized the drug and launched further investigation into the matter.
