Lahore’s Mela Chiraghan cancelled due to coronavirus

The historic Mela Chiraghan that was scheduled to be celebrated from March 28 is cancelled.

The development came after the government’s order against holding of public gatherings as part of precautions against the novel coronavirus.

The city of Lahore recorded its coronavirus patient on Saturday night.

The historic Mela Chiraghan is associated with the Urs of  Hazrat Shah Hussain, popularly known as Madhu Lal Hussain, whose shrine is situated at Baghbanpura, Lahore.
