PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar announced on Thursday that a meeting with the founding chairman had taken place on the orders of the High Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The meeting, attended by four lawyers, confirmed that the founding chairman is in good health and that consultations about the Senate election from KP have been completed.

The PTI will announce the names of the candidates for the Senate election soon. “We will form a committee in the KP government, which will be based on merit and will include Marwat,” said Barrister Gohar.

According to Barrister Gohar, the committee will be responsible for redressing those who have been wronged.

In a media talk outside Adiala Jail, the PTI chairman also announced that the party will hold a rally on March 23.

However, he expressed dissatisfaction with the Election Commission, stating, “We do not accept the government’s victory as a victory, these results have come as per Form 47.”

Barrister Gohar highlighted an ongoing attempt to change their candidates in recounting as part of a conspiracy.

“According to the law, they cannot be recounted,” he said, adding that there are many cases where there is an ongoing attempt to recount.

He appealed to the judiciary to stop this, warning that it may spread hostility.

The PTI chairman also spoke about the decision of the Peshawar High Court about the reserved seat, stating that they will challenge it in the Supreme Court. “We appeal to the Supreme Court to form a larger bench and hear it soon,” he said.

'Imran wants action over PTI workers torture'

In another media talk, Sher Afzal Marwat said the KP police torture of workers was taken up with the party founder.

The founding chairman has demanded the IG remove the cops involved in the incident.

Marwat assured that they will look into the incidents of excesses with the workers, stating, “We will not take revenge on anyone. Whoever has registered bogus cases, will be held accountable and we will recommend legal action.”

He emphasised that there is no policy of revenge with any officer but they will not leave the crime.

He concluded by saying that they will look into the baseless cases that have been registered in the Ministry of Law and that oppression, murder, extortion, kidnapping for ransom will be held accountable.
