A three-member bench of the Supreme Court (SC), headed by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, will start hearing the case related to fixing the prices of sugar and other items of daily use on March 18, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The other two judges on the bench are Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Athar Minallah.
The court has issued notices to the respondents, including the attorney general of Pakistan (AGP) and the provincial advocate generals.
The federal government had filed a petition in the apex court in which it had argued that the Center, and not provinces, had the authority to fix the prices of different items.
