Airfare discount for Pakistani students stranded in China

The government has decided to bring back over 300 students stranded in the Chinese city of Wuhan in Hubei Province.
The Overseas Pakistanis Ministry has finalised the arrangements in this regard in coordination with the Foreign Ministry. The Pakistani students stranded in Wuhan have been offered a special discount on the air ticket as they will be charged just Rs50,000 per person for flight to Pakistan. A special flight of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will bring back the Pakistani students stranded in Wuhan on May 18.
Sayed Zulfiqar Bukhari, special assistant to the prime minister on Overseas Pakistanis, said in a tweet this is a special gesture of the government for the Pakistani students stranded in Wuhan because they have suffered the most.

Almost a week earlier, Bukhari had announced the government would bring back Pakistani students stranded in Wuhan through a special flight. In a tweet, he said: “I’m very happy for the 1st flight going to Wuhan to bring back our Pakistani students on 18/05/2020. You guys have been the bravest soldiers, PM @ImranKhanPTI & Pakistan are proud of you. Welcome back home!”
