Govt on toes ahead of TLP rally in Islamabad

The Islamabad district administration is taking every possible measure to stop activists of the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) from entering the federal capital for a rally scheduled to take place at Liaqat Bagh on Sunday (November 1). 

In line with these measures, Murree Road will be blocked using containers and sealed completely for all kinds of traffic from Saturday midnight till 9:00 PM on Sunday. Murree Road will remain closed from Mareer to Faizabad. All roads leading to Faizabad were also being blocked using containers on Saturday night. Also, the authorities closed the road from Serena Chowk to Red Zone in order to keep the TLP supporters away from the federal capital. 

Similarly, the authorities have announced that cell phone services in Rawalpindi and its outskirts will remain suspended from 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Sunday.
