October 15, 2020 02:24 PM

A condolence reference would be held at the Karachi Press Club on October 17 (Saturday) at 4pm to honour seasoned journalist Syed Ansar Naqvi who was among those who lost their lives in the deadly PIA plane crash in Karachi earlier this year.

Ansar Naqvi – Senior Director Current Affairs and Programming at 24NewsHD TV channel – died in the horrific crash as he was going to his native city of Hyderabad to spend Eid holidays with his family. His wife Begum Rana was present at the Jinnah International Airport to receive him when she received the news.

Ansar Naqvi had initially decided to travel to Hyderabad by road as his seat on the ill-fated Lahore-Karachi flight had not been confirmed, but later he boarded the plane when he received confirmation on the eleventh hour.
