A vigilance team of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Thursday caught a woman travelling with a ticket issued in someone else's name and got her offloaded from the plane.

The woman had boarded the PIA flight PK300 from Karachi for Islamabad. The vigilance team checked the woman's ticket and found that the ticket was issued in the name of the woman's daughter. It emerged later that a PIA employee had got a ticket issued in the name of his wife and then given it to his mother in law. 

A spokesperson for the PIA said that departmental action and investigation into the incident have been started against the employee.
