The head of the United Nations mission in Sudan said on Sunday three staff had been killed in the restive Darfur region, as fighting rages between army and paramilitary forces.
"Three employees from the World Food Programme were killed in clashes that erupted in Kabkabiya, North Darfur," UN Special Representative Volker Perthes said in a statement.
"Civilians and humanitarian workers are not a target."
