A junior clerk of Services Hospital Lahore namely Arshad Butt has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Establishment Punjab for alleged corruption and illegal acts, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
According to an FIR registered against him, it is revealed that he joined the service in grade IV but shortly he was promoted to grade 7 as a junior clerk on the basis of fake credentials and experience.
Arshad Butt had not paid duty for a long time and illegally occupied two rooms in the OPD and had also installed a secret camera, text.
The anti-corruption agency would ascertain how he got a promotion in a short span on fake documents.
According to the FIR test, Arshad Butt was involved in making illegal postings and transfers after taking bribes using the name of the Paramedical Staff Association.
He used to accept donations from philanthropists but put the money into his own account. He recruited daily wage employees and took lakhs of rupees as bribes.
Accused Arshad Butt was also found allegedly involved in getting a fake medical board against hefty amounts.
In a long list of his crimes, Arshad Butt was involved taking bribes for the parking stand of Services Hospital.
By keeping private ambulances and rickshaws, he used to collect the arbitrary fare from the patients, it said.
It further read out that he used to get a commission from suppliers of hospital medicines, surgical items, air-conditioners, and furniture.
Arshad Butt's assets are also in excess of permissible income and have been made up of unnamed properties, it added.
