Meesha Shafi accuses media of misreporting in Ali Zafar case

Actress and singer Meesha Shafi has said the case filed against her by noted singer Ali Zafar was misreported by the media.

Sessions Court Lahore has heard the case against actress and singer Mesha Shafi in a defamation suit filed by singer Ali Zafar. Meesha Shafi appeared before the court and completed her attendance.

After the court proceedings, Meesha said that after this case, many women from the showbiz industry approached her on the issue of harassment.

Moreover, she added they had shared the incidents of harassment in detail with her.

However, the actress had shown resistance to name those women and said: “I stand by the truth and the outcome of this case will be fruitful. The singer also said that when I was first summoned to the court, I was present.”

Meesha added: “I have never been to court before.”

Furthermore, citing the reason for this case, the daughter (Meesha) of renowned actress Saba Hameed said she had to suffer from heavy economic loss.
