No chance of rain in Lahore amid high pollution level

Lahore, the city of gardens, with AQI recorded at 270, was ranked as the second most polluted city in the world on Monday following Indian capital New Delhi, where the AQI surged to 427, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
And to make matters worse, the Met Office forecast cold and dry weather for the Punjab capital at least for the next few days, which meant that there was no respite for people from diseases associated with this type of weather, prompting doctors to advise people to take precautionary measures.
The AQI over the Askari-10 locality of the provincial capital stood at 768.
Similarly, it was 618 over Johar Town, 488 over Phase-8, DHA and 366 over Shimla Paharri.
The weather department predicted that the maximum temperature in the city would be recorded at 20 degrees Celsius.
Forecast for light rain, snowfall
Meanwhile, the Met Office said that the weather would remain cold and dry in most parts of the country, barring Chiral, Dir, Swat and Kurram where light rain and snow over the hills were likely.
Similarly, it predicted light fog in Sahiwal, Okara, Bahawalnagar, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan in Punjab and in Sukkur, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Khairpur in Sindh in the morning.
