A woman in Sargodha has given birth to five babies.
The babies, three of them boys, were born at a hospital in Sardogha city and were shifted to Lahore’s Children Hospital for better medical care.
The babies were reported to be healthy and hearty.
The mother namely Muqaddas is married to a Phularwan resident and they had tied the knot around a year ago.
The birth of multiple children is not so common, though it is also not rare in Pakistan.
Last year in June, a woman gave birth to five baby boys in Karak district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In 2017, quintuplets – three of them boys, were born at the Lady Aitcheson Hospital of Lahore to 22-year-old Komal Shehzad, who belongs to a rural area of Punjab.
A year before that, in 2016, a Karachi woman gave birth to five babies – three girls of them – at Darul Sehat Hospital.
Earlier, a young woman gave birth to quintuplets — four of them girls — at the Civil Hospital Karachi in December 2015.
