A meeting of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Punjab and various healthcare organizations was held to finalize the details of the upcoming protest against the Punjab Healthcare Commission(PHC), scheduled for July 24.
A large number of doctors attended the meeting under the leadership of PMA Lahore Prof Dr Ashraf Nizami, reflecting widespread concern and support for the planned demonstration.
Participants included the presidents of PMA's 30 district branches in Punjab, who joined both in person and online.
During the meeting, comprehensive plans for the protest were outlined and agreed upon.
The PMA Lahore and its associated branches aimed to address their grievances with the Punjab Healthcare Commission's policies, which they believe are detrimental to their professional autonomy and the healthcare system.
The finalized details of the protest have been disseminated to all district branches in Punjab, ensuring coordinated and organized participation across the province.
