Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the historic Shabqadr Fort of Fronter Constabulary (FC) built in 1813, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited various ancient parts of the fort.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed his deep interest in the original and ancient chained gates of the fort.
The Federal Interior Minister also saw the statue of former British Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill and the Diyar wood rest house built in 1837.
During his visit, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi appreciated the performance of Commandant FC and his team for maintaining the historical fort.
Talking on the occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that the fort is steeped in history.
He said Frontier Constabulary has rendered valuable services for maintaining peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said FC officers and jawans have created stories of bravery in the war against terrorism and the nation is proud of them.
Commandant FC Muazzam Jah Ansari gave a briefing on the historical background of the fort and chained gates.
