Punjab govt not to shut shelter homes

The Punjab Chief Minister Secretariat has rejected a suggestion for closing down shelter homes (Panahgahs) over coronavirus spread, 24NewsHD reported on Monday.
Preventive measures are being adopted at the shelter homes. Volunteers and other staff are asked to avoid handshakes and allow outsiders in after their proper scanning. They were also told to wear gloves and clean the place every two hours.
The move came after Prime Minister Imran Khan called upon people not to create panic. A couple of days ago, the government issued a health advisory asking volunteers and service providers to abide by the preventive measures.
