Judge’s misconduct case: IHC writes note to look into matter on administrative side

The Islamabad High Court has wrote a note to the Administrative Committee to look into the matter on the administrative side in case of Anti-terrorism court judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain, accused of misconduct, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.


Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir wrote a note to look into the matter on the administrative side.


However, the Islamabad High Court accepted the bail application of Amir Masood Mughal in the terrorism case.


The court wrote in the note that Aamir Mughal and his lawyers appeared in the court on February 6 on the bail application.


The Anti-Terrorism Court apparently extended the interim bail and gave a date of February 13 for next hearing of case, the text of decision says.


According to the lawyers, they later learned that their bail application had been rejected, the decision said.


The investigating officer of the case confirmed the stand of the petitioner's lawyers, Islamabad High Court’s verdict says.
